Bosch Emergency Public Address System and General Paging Solutions
Bosch emergency public address systems are designed to cover all user requirements for general paging, high-quality background music and fully certified emergency solutions. With its wide product portfolio, Bosch delivers systems and components for major transportation hubs, religious facilities, public buildings, office complexes, schools and shopping malls around the world, providing safe and intelligible sound distribution.
Bosch’s modular public address and voice alarm solutions offer scalable architectures that can be adapted to projects ranging from small facilities to complex multi-building campuses. Compliance with international standards such as EN54 and ISO 7240 ensures that the systems meet both legal requirements and high safety criteria in critical applications.
Bosch PRAESIDEO Digital Public Address and Voice Alarm System
With more than 20,000 systems installed worldwide, Bosch PRAESIDEO is one of the leading solutions for demanding voice alarm and emergency paging applications. It is an ideal choice for general announcements, scheduled events, background music, voice evacuation and all scenarios where high audio quality and maximum speech intelligibility are essential.
The PRAESIDEO voice alarm system is fully supervised; system status, amplifier operation, microphone lines, loudspeaker line integrity and each individual loudspeaker are continuously monitored to guarantee message integrity. Thanks to built-in redundancy and automatic switchover to backup amplifiers, system availability is maintained even under critical conditions. For voice alarm installations, the network can be configured in a “redundant loop” topology to achieve higher reliability in emergencies; even in the event of a physical break in the fiber-optic ring, the system can continue to operate.
OMNEO interfaces support the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) to automatically restore IP audio connections if a network link is lost. Since PRAESIDEO components are interconnected via an optical network without the need for intermediate interfaces, equipment can be positioned flexibly while maintaining audio quality over long distances. This optical backbone pushes the limits of flexibility, audio performance and reliability.
| As part of Bosch Security Systems’ commitment to international standards, the PRAESIDEO emergency public address system is designed to meet legal requirements relating to voice alarm systems. Bosch PRAESIDEO is certified to EN54-16 and ISO 7240-16 and complies with many local evacuation and voice alarm standards worldwide. Under DNV GL type approval, Bosch PRAESIDEO holds a type approval certificate from DNV GL for installation on all vessels classified by DNV GL. This makes it a reliable choice for ships, offshore platforms and other demanding marine applications. | |
Bosch PAVIRO Public Address and Voice Alarm System
The Bosch PAVIRO public address and voice alarm system is a unique, high-quality EN54-certified solution that offers professional audio performance through its dedicated 24-bit digital signal processor, advanced digital-to-analog converters and outstanding Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). Thanks to its highly adaptable architecture, it is ideal for small to medium-sized office buildings, regional airports, mid-scale hotels, factories, schools and large retail environments.
With its IP-based architecture, the PAVIRO voice alarm solution provides a flexible, reliable and high-quality audio platform regardless of project size. The optional Dante network interface module (OM-1) enables a 16-channel Dante audio network between individual controllers. This allows up to four decentralized controllers to be integrated into a single system and, by using standard Ethernet infrastructure and components, reduces cable requirements and overall installation costs.
| At maximum configuration, the PAVIRO public address and voice alarm system can address up to 984 zones with a total output power of 164,000 Watts within a single system. This scalable structure makes it highly suitable for large and multi-zone installations and allows existing systems to be easily expanded when the building infrastructure changes or new areas need to be covered. The network configuration can be designed with redundant channels for safety. In an emergency, these redundant paths ensure that evacuation messages continue to be broadcast even if one controller loses its network communication. | |
Thanks to its four-channel matrix architecture, PAVIRO offers highly flexible combinations for distributing announcements and background music. For example, classical music can be played in one group of six zones while pop music is distributed to another, and at the same time live announcements can be routed to selected zones without interrupting the music in other areas. Depending on system requirements, one to four channels can be configured per router, minimizing power consumption while maximizing system flexibility.
Each PAVIRO amplifier has two auxiliary audio inputs that allow the connection of additional audio sources. This means that external sources required for occasional AV presentations do not consume the main system channels. High flexibility and the smart combination of input and output matrices make PAVIRO particularly suitable for hotels, conference facilities and corporate buildings, where both public address and voice evacuation functions can be covered with a minimum number of amplifiers.
Operating costs are significantly reduced thanks to state-of-the-art high-efficiency class-D amplifiers combined with intelligent power management hardware and software. Each router can drive up to 24 loudspeaker lines using a single amplifier type, creating a high degree of flexibility within the system. Power sharing between zones from 2 W to 500 W allows for a mix of low- and high-power zones within the same router, optimizing both investment and operational expenditure.
Bosch PLENA Public Address and Voice Alarm System
The Bosch PLENA public address and voice alarm system family is an ideal solution for evacuation, message broadcasting and background music distribution in applications such as schools, hotels, shopping centers, factories, offices and similar environments where public safety is of critical importance. With its straightforward configuration and flexible structure, PLENA offers an excellent cost–performance balance for medium-sized installations.
Fully compliant with EN54-16 and ISO 7240-16, the PLENA system features a scalable architecture that can be expanded up to 120 zones. The voice alarm controller with built-in 240 W amplifier can be extended by 6-zone routers and supported by additional 120 W, 240 W and 480 W amplifiers. This allows designers to build a scalable Bosch emergency public address and voice alarm system for both smaller facilities and growing installations on the same platform.
